Parana Institute of Technology (Tecpar) participates in a national support program for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs seeking guidance to develop new businesses. This is the Brazilian Service for Technical Answers (SBRT), a specialized online service that provides technical information to individuals and companies free of charge.
Tecpar is one of the founding institutions of the platform, which is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) and brings together nine institutions with recognized performance in the fields of science, technology and innovation.
According to Tecpar CEO, Jorge Callado, the service is an essential source of research for entrepreneurs who want to start a new business or who need to improve production processes and develop new products.
“The production of scientific knowledge is growing rapidly, as well as updating legislation. For this reason, it is important to seek information from reliable sources. Through SBRT, Tecpar makes its information management professionals available to answer the doubts of the most diverse users”, highlights Jorge Callado.
Entrepreneurship support Participation in SBRT is part of Tecpar’s series of initiatives to support innovative entrepreneurship and dissemination of scientific knowledge in society. Through the Technology Information Center technical team, Tecpar develops a rigorous process for updating responses, following technological and legislative changes.
Currently, the Institute is responsible for customer service in the states of Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, and also meets the requirements of users who live outside the country.
Database The SBRT database totaled 34,000 responses and technical files. This set of documents is the result of about 66,000 questions asked by users of the platform, with more than a million direct access to its contents since its inception.
Tecpar has already received more than 6,500 requests, with 3,000 technical responses posted and another 3,500 responses with guidance, among the 15,000 registered users in the institute’s coverage area.
The answers and technical files produced by SBRT constitute a constantly updated database. All recorded information is publicly available, and may be accessed by other interested parties, in addition to the applicant. They can also direct new, more specific or complementary demands,” explains Livia Nogueira dos Santos, director of the Center for Technology Information and Monitoring at Tecpar.
To access the SBRT Data Bank, simply register on the portal www.respostatecnica.org.br and register a request for information or search among the posted responses. The service is free.
