Science and Technology Fairs 2024 Dates Announced – Mato Grosso do Sul News

The events will be held in October and November at the ten IFMS branches. The best projects will be awarded.

The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has released the dates and rules for participation in the Science and Technology Fairs in 2024. Students interested in submitting work can check how to register at Notice posted in the selection center.

The scientific fairs will be promoted through the ten IFMS branches, in October and November. These events are part of the Science and Technology Week (SCT) 2024 program, whose theme is “Biomes in Brazil: Diversity, Knowledge and Social Technologies”.

Students of primary schools (grades 6 to 9), secondary schools and integrated technical schools in public and private schools in the municipalities of the region can submit work. IFMS Campus Coverage AreaAs well as former students of the Federal Institute who completed courses after November of last year.

Registration of works is free and must be done by the teacher who guides the students in developing the work. Information and deadlines are available in the opening notice, dated IFMS Selection Center.

Approved works will be published ten days prior to the start date of each exhibition.

Rating and Awards – The works submitted by the students will be evaluated by a committee consisting of professors, researchers and students from universities, federal institutes, research institutions and others.

Evaluation will be based on scientific or technological criteria, which include the problem/hypothesis, data collection/methodology, project development, products/processes, as well as the content, clarity and organization of the information and data contained in the extended abstract, banner, report and field notebook (notebook).

All authors of the work will receive a certificate of participation in this event. There will be prizes in the following categories:

  • First, second and third places in integrated technical projects of intermediate or intermediate level in each of the five knowledge areas listed in clause 3.7 of the Job Selection Notice;
  • First, second and third places in the basic level projects in each of the five knowledge areas listed in clause 3.7 of the Job Selection Notice;
  • best banner;
  • Better work report;
  • Best Project in the Intermediate/Technical Category;
  • Best Project in Primary Category;
  • Best Project in Guest Category;
  • Best Project in the category: Social and Environmental Impact; and
  • Best Project in Category: Technological Innovation.
