SBT News on TV: Brazil has more than 900,000 probable cases and 195 confirmed deaths from dengue fever

Brazil has recorded more than 973,000 possible cases of dengue fever since the beginning of the year, according to Ministry of Health data. At least 195 people have died as a result of the disease, and another 672 deaths are being investigated. According to the Ministry, despite the increase in serious cases, there was no increase in the number of deaths compared to the same period last year.

Health Minister Nicia Trindade on Tuesday (27) declared a “Victory Day” of mobilization against dengue, next Saturday, across the country and stressed the need to eliminate breeding sites of mosquitoes that transmit the disease.
