Striker Sassa had an inspirational Sunday night. He scored all three goals for Amazonas in a 3-2 win over Confiança, in the sixth round of the Série C. It was his first hat-trick in seven years.
The last time Sasa scored three goals in the same match was in 2016, when he was still wearing a Botafogo shirt. It was in the 3-1 win over América-MG, in the eighth round of Brazil. Since then, the striker has never achieved this feat again.
With the three goals this Sunday, Sasa has reached the Serie C artillery, but not in isolation. The Amazonas striker has the same seven goals as Eric, the Ypiranga-RS striker.
He played six games and scored seven goals for Jaguars. The team ranks fourth in the third division with 11 points.
Best season since 2017
The Amazonas jersey seemed to do well for Sasa. Goals for the club made him reach eight goals this season and achieve his best year since 2017 when he scored 13 goals.
That season, Sassa wore the Botafogo and Cruzeiro shirts. In the Carioca team, there were 16 appearances and six goals. For the Minas Gerais club, there were 17 appearances and seven goals.
