Russian plane invades Swedish airspace

247 – The Swedish Ministry of Defense confirmed that a Russian reconnaissance plane violated the country’s airspace on Saturday (30).

A statement from the Swedish Armed Forces said the plane was an Antonov An-30, and was first seen when it was east of Bornhall, Denmark, near southern Sweden.

The entry of the plane came amid threats by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Sweden and Finland that two countries might join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
