According to Kiev, the Russian bombing used two ballistic missiles launched from the Crimean Peninsula, which Moscow annexed in 2014. Both missiles were shot down, but the debris caused damage in several central areas and two buildings. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the bombing “is a reminder that Ukraine urgently needs more air defenses, especially Patriot systems and missiles capable of repelling any Russian attack.”
