If you’ve had the chance to see the new iPhone 15 Pro, you might have been surprised by the ultra-thin bezels around the smartphone’s display. Apple’s goal with the new iPhone 16 Pro is to impress more by adopting the world’s thinnest edge screen on its new flagship phone, according to the famous Ice Universe website.

The current iPhone 15 Pro has a bezel that is about 1.55mm thick around the screen. With the future iPhone 16 Pro, we expect Apple to offer a display with more invisible edges closer to 1mm.
This new rumor confirms April leaks that reported that Apple’s suppliers faced difficulties in manufacturing screens with very thin bezels.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to feature a new Bezel Reduction technology (or BRS in English) with smaller circuits that require higher assembly precision thanks to greater technical difficulty.
In addition to the change in the thickness of the screen edges, there are expectations of changes in the size of the two screens.
The size of the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to jump from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be even larger, going from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches.
Although reducing the bezels is enough to increase the screen size, the chassis of both the Pro models are expected to have larger dimensions.
The iPhone 16 line is scheduled to launch in September with a new highly efficient A18 chip, more RAM, new buttons, and better cameras with fewer reflections.
