Lamine Yamal was one of the great figures of Euro 2024. The youngster became the youngest player in the history of the competition to play in a final. Moreover, he was the youngest athlete to score a goal, equalising against France in the semi-final. The Spaniard turned 17 the day before the tournament was decided on Saturday.
In the last Euro final, which Italy beat England, Italian goalkeeper Donnarumma was named best player, after saving two penalties in the decisive shots. In addition to the archer, the UEFA team of the year in each position included Walker (England), Bonucci (Italy), Maguire (England), Spinazzola (Italy), Hojbjerg (Denmark), Jorginho (Italy), Pedri (Spain), Lukaku (Belgium), Chiesa (Italy) and Sterling (England).
