The CEO of Brisanet and the first Brazilian to be nominated for the Nobel Prize for Education will be the keynote speakers at the event; Check out other attractions

The Digital Knowledge Fair (FdC), which takes place from November 24-26, will offer a broad and diverse programme, completely virtual. Big names from the worlds of entrepreneurship, education, science and technology will be attending to give talks and tell viewers a little bit about their experience. Activities are free and keynote lectures will always take place at 7pm.

On the first day (24), the keynote lecturer will lead Deborah Garofalo, the first Brazilian and first South American woman to reach the final stage in the Global Teacher Prize, considered the “Nobel in Education”. The professor, who is among the world’s ten greatest professors, will speak on the topic of “Disruptive Education”, from 7 pm onwards.

On the second day of the event (25), the exhibition will witness the participation of businessman Roberto Nogueira, who will lead the main lecture “De Pereiro para a Forbes”. Brisanet’s CEO will describe the course of the telecommunications company created in the semi-arid region of Ceará that recently won, for 1.2 billion Rls, a 5G auction to be a technology supplier in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the country.

Young scientists from Ciara Nicole Oliveira and Larisa Paeva, who appeared on “Asteroid Hunt”, will be part of the attractions on the last day of the Knowledge Fair (26). The program is an initiative of the International Astronomical Research Collaboration (IASC/NASA) with national and international coverage, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI). They will talk a little bit about participating in the program and the challenges of putting astronomy studies into practice. The chat will be attended by Planetário Rubens de Azevedo Director, Dermeval Carneiro, and MCTI’s General Coordinator of Science Publishing, Silvana Kopciski.

Highlights

In addition to the presence of the multinational companies Amazon, Oracle, Microsoft and Ambev, this year’s FdC Digital will feature Professor Joel Rodrigues, representative of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest professional technology organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. The professor also ranks first in information and communication technologies in Brazil according to Research.com, one of the world’s major computer science research sites. It will address the topic of “Leveraging Smart Environments with the Internet of Things (IoT)”.

Rafael Lozano, Country Director of Brazil at Ellalink, the company responsible for submarine cables connecting Brazil to several continents from Fortaleza, will also be present to speak on the topic “Connecting the World for the Future”.

Professor Volney Graff, Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at UnB, will address the topic “Ethics in Biosciences, Science and Technology: Limit or Control?”. Another guest is Thoroh de Souza, Professor at Mackenzie, speaking on the topic “Graphene: A Revolution in Nanotechnology”, with news about what is considered the “material of the future”, made up of carbon atoms and capable of enabling many technological revolutions.
