Skateboarding “fairy” Raissa Leal could break another record at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Silver at Tokyo 2020, Raissa Leal already holds the title of the youngest athlete to win a medal for Brazil, at the age of 13. According to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), the record was previously held by Rosangela Santos, who won the bronze at Beijing 2008 in the 4x100m athletics event at the age of 17.

Momiji Nishiya, the Japanese who won the first women’s street skateboarding gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has not qualified for Paris 2024. That already leaves a strong contender to take the gold medal from Raisa Leal out of contention.
