Starting Wednesday (31), the Federal Revenue Service will start paying the third batch of Income Tax (IR) refunds for the year 2024.
In this payment, more than six million taxpayers will benefit, with a total return of R$8.5 billion, which also includes residual values from previous years. This payment covers taxpayers who were not included in the previous phases and is intended for those who have not yet received the refund.

IR 2024 Recovery Priorities
Of the total amount, approximately R$529 million will be allocated to taxpayers with legal priority. The current payment includes:
- 14,756 Seniors over 80 years of age
- 95,040 Taxpayers aged 60 to 79
- 9,672 with a physical or mental disability, or a serious illness
- 34,014 Education professionals
- 5,711,130 Taxpayers who do not have statutory priority, but used the pre-filled return or chose to receive it via PIX
- 172,719 Non-priority taxpayers
- 54,241 Taxpayers in Rio Grande do Sul with priority

To check if you are included in this payment, access your My Income Tax page or the Federal Revenue application.

Consultation steps:
- accessing the Site or Application;
- Select the option “Consult for a refund”;
- Enter your CPF number, date of birth and password.
The 2024 refund calendar is divided as follows:
- The first batch: May 31 (paid already)
- The second installment: June 28 (paid already)
- third batch : July 31st (Payment this Wednesday)
- Fourth batch: August 30 (due)
- Fifth batch: September 30 (due)
How to use IR 2024 Refund
IR redemption can be used in a variety of ways: paying off debt, investing, planning a trip, or building an emergency fund.
