The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus arrives promising to be Xiaomi's most complete mid-range cell phone with a powerful 200MP camera, sleek design and powerful charger. Would it be a better buy for the brand?

The design is similar to other designs in the line with slight changes in the camera layout, but here we have a curved body for a more comfortable grip. Moreover, it is the first to come with an IP68 certification for waterproof protection and its screen features Gorilla Glass Victus for protection against shocks.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus phone comes with a 6.67-inch screen with a resolution of 1220 pixels, 12-bit color depth, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with strong brightness. There are three audio outputs for powerful, immersive sound for enjoying movies and games.

It comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, which features an octa-core processor and a Mali-G610 GPU with four graphics cores. The device we tested has 12GB of RAM. It performed well in our multitasking test, staying above most brokers. It also works very well in games, even heavy games.

The disappointing part is the 5,000 mAh battery, which in our testing lasted less than other Xiaomi phones with the same power capacity. At least we have a powerful 120W charger in the box to compensate, which only takes 25 minutes to fill the battery.

The photographic array is the same as the others and we have a 200MP sensor combined with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a simple 2MP sensor for macros. For selfies, there is a front camera with a maximum resolution of 16MP. Quality is good, even in low-light locations, but don't expect to compete with more advanced models with the same resolution. The video camera is more limited, especially the front camera at night.
