The Pope’s recovery continues at Gemelli Hospital in Rome after the operation on his intestines last Sunday: the CT scan was negative and a feverish episode broke out last night, as explained in a statement by the Director of the Press Room of the Holy See, Matteo Bruni .
“His Holiness Pope Francis spent a quiet day eating and moving independently. In the afternoon, he wanted to express his parental closeness to the children in the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Neurosurgery, and sent them his warm regards.”
Bruni added, “At night, he had a fit of fever. This morning, he underwent routine microbiological examinations and CAT on the chest and abdomen, and the result was negative.”
