Regarding the crisis in the Asia-Pacific Quad, Putin reiterated his position on the Taiwan issue in favor of the “one-China” policy. According to Putin's foreign policy advisor, Yuri Ushakov, the two leaders condemned the “US policy of dual containment of Russia and China”, rejecting “political and military pressure” from the US government.
