Procon publishes a ranking of companies with the highest number of complaints in 2023; See top 10

The São Paulo Consumer Protection Service (Procon-SP) released the list of companies most targeted by complaints throughout 2023. The ranking not only indicates companies in need of service improvement, but also reflects the growing demand and interest from the public regarding the services provided.

In total, 769,556 consultations were registered on the Procon-SP website. A complaint is only verified when there is legitimacy to the parties, a consumer relationship exists and a consumer narrative that contains elements of verifiability.

During the year, Procon-SP mediated just over 207,000 complaints, with no guarantee of resolution for the consumer. The rate of resolving problems is considered low, especially among the first two in the ranking, as more than 90% of complaints were not resolved.

  1. Hurb Technologies S/A – 11,631 complaints
  2. Range 123 miles – 8,186 complaints
  3. Enel – 5,800 complaints

Enel, which is responsible for supplying electricity in São Paulo, came in third place due to persistent outages and delays in restoring service in some areas of the city.

In response to TecMundo, 123Milhas, the second company that received the highest number of complaints, informed that it has entered the judicial recovery phase in 2023 and that all debts with its creditors will be satisfied through a plan submitted to the court.
