Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to renew their lease on their home in Windsor, England.
According to the Telegraph, the contract expires on March 31, so the decision has now been made. Retention of the estate means Harry can still remain in Queen Elizabeth II’s Council of State, serving as one of her four temporary representatives when necessary, despite living in the US, the British residency allows him to maintain himself in that role.
Aside from Harry, the Queen’s three other representatives are the big four in line to the throne, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Andrew.
The newspaper also notes that these actors’ jobs are not very well known to the public, but have recently become so important that the Queen can ask them to take her place on certain occasions if she gets sick temporarily or something happens. Ancestry has also been the subject of a sexual assault controversy involving Prince Andrew.
About Harry’s home, it is reported that in September 2020, he and his wife Megan paid more than two million pounds, equivalent to approximately 14 million riyals, in the restoration and renovation work of the place, and currently Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank and his son August. They live there.
Although Harry hasn’t been to England much since moving his family to the United States, he has expressed to his lawyers that he’d like to go back to the country to see family and friends.
