Prime Day 2024 Breaks Amazon Sales Record; See Most-Shopped Items

Amazon revealed, today, Monday (22), some statistics related to Prime Day 2024, which took place between July 16 and 21. Among the main news, there was a 71% growth in traffic on the amazon.com.br website compared to the six days preceding the event (from July 10 to 15).

Globally, this year’s promotion period was the largest in the e-commerce giant’s history. Without disclosing figures, the company noted that sales and the number of items sold were record numbers.

According to Amazon, Brazil also had the release with the highest volume of purchases on Prime Day 2024. July 16, the first day of the discounts, was the day on which the largest number of customers became Prime members since the program launched in September 2019.

According to Amazon’s website, a task force has been created to implement Prime Day 2024. The e-commerce giant has hired 4,000 temporary workers in Brazil, and these people are distributed across the company’s 10 distribution centers and 64 delivery stations.

Amazon also announced some weird things about Prime Day 2024 in Brazil:

• The best-selling product during the first day of Prime Day 2024 in Brazil was Omo Lavagem Perfeita – Liquid Soap 5L;
• The preferred payment method for Brazilians was installment payment via credit card, followed by cash payment via credit card and Pix.
• Soldiers Nutrition Creatine Monohydrate 500g, Borgotto Millenia Bath, Beta Alanine 200g Athletica Nutrition and Dryatometa – Diatomaceous Earth Bath Mat were top sellers in SMEs.

What are the best selling products on Prime Day 2024?

According to Amazon, the categories that Brazilians bought the most on this Prime Day that ended yesterday are: personal care, cleaning, books and beauty.

The “favorite” products were among the most sought after. As with almost all other four editions, the Kindle was one of the most purchased items by Brazilians.

Still in the electronics sector, the iPhone 15, Mondial’s Air Fryer, Smart Lâmpada Wi-Fi Positivo and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite were among the best-selling devices.
