The free August 2021 games for PlayStation Plus subscribers should be Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2. The names were leaked through the PlayStation website itself in the US, which published and removed the content over the weekend.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends has already been announced as one of the August PS Plus games in the latest State of the Play presentation. It will be a freebie for PS5 and PS4 users as well.
With a different approach to Battle Royale that replaces shooting with hand-to-hand combat, Hunter’s Arena: Legends places up to 30 players in arenas set in ancient Asia. You play as a hunter who must use swordsmanship and martial arts to hunt rival demons and hunters in two battle modes: single and triple. The former is described as 30 players free-for-all, while the latter allows the player to team up with two others to take on demons together.
The player will equip his hunter with different fighting weapons, such as swords and machetes, and he will need to launch counter attacks and combos at the right time to defeat his enemy. There will be 17 different hunters to choose from, each with its own distinct playstyle.
The free PS4 games will be Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2.
