Indian Wells (USA) – The second match of Beatriz Haddad Maya will take place at the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells on Monday afternoon. The No. 1 player in Brazil and No. 13 in the world will play at around 5pm (Brasilia time) against Britain’s Emma Raducano, the 2021 US Open champion and currently No. 77 in the rankings. The confrontation with the 20-year-old young competitor and former top ten is unprecedented in the ring. They make the second stage of stage 3.

Pia will set another date on Monday, when she will also play in the second round of the doubles. She joins the experienced 35-year-old Laura Siegemund of Germany to take on Ukrainian Lyudmila Kechenok and Latvian No. 3 Jelena Ostapenko in the tournament. The match will be held at Stadium 6.

The highlight of the round is the showdown between two champions from Indian Wells, world number one Iga Swiatek against 2019 winner Bianca Andreescu. They face each other at 22:00 (Brasilia time) on Center Court. The winner will face Piya O Raducano in the round of 16. For the women’s category as well, there are two other great matches that moved the schedule, Leila Fernandez vs. Caroline Garcia, and Paula Badosa vs. Elena Rybakina.

In the men’s category, world number two Carlos Alcaraz will play at the end of the squad. The Spaniard plays the last match of the day against Dutchman Talon Grikspur. Earlier, at 7 p.m., Argentine Sebastian Paez will take on defending champion Taylor Fritz. Also of note is the generational duel between Stan Wawrinka and Holger Rohn and the British clash between former top seed Andy Murray and left-back Jack Draper.
