Deputy Attorney General of the Republic Lindora Araujo underwent emergency surgery in the United States on Thursday (24) due to colon cancer. The procedure was successful and according to the PGR (Attorney General of the Republic), he is fine.
The right-hand man of the Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, had traveled to California to visit members of the Arajo family. In the column, the PGR press office says the deputy attorney general is on vacation and no surgery is scheduled.
This Friday (25), Arras appointed the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic, Humberto Jacques, to act on criminal cases within the jurisdiction of the STF (Federal Supreme Court).
The Deputy Attorney General is expected to return to Brazil soon after recovering from the surgery.
