A new game from the creator of Populous, Dungeon Keeper, Fable, and Black & White has been announced at gamescom.
One of the surprises at the opening of Gamescom was the presence of Peter Molyneux and the announcement of his new game Masters of Albion, which is being developed by professionals who worked on Fable and also by the former president of Media Molecule, Mark Healey.
According to Molyneux, the game is entirely self-funded and will contain elements from all of his previous games, and is described as an “open-world God game”.
“Make your way through intrigue and plot – kings come and go, masters greet you and then stab you in the back, people work like dogs and are treated no better.”the game’s description on Steam says.
“With divine and inherited powers, you face an enemy unlike any seen in hundreds of years. Magic has returned to the hills and halls of Albion, threatening to destroy the very foundations of society. Uncover the secret of the witches, defeat the enemy that lurks in the night, and defeat the magic that could kill us all.
Molyneux said at Gamescom that Masters of Albion represents him. “back home” After spending a while working on mobile games.
“Then I ventured into mobile – what the hell was I doing? – I said to myself, I need to get back home, to PC and consoles. So I looked at Dungeon Keeper… I took some stuff from Black & White, and I did the same thing with Fable, and that’s what I’m going to show tonight.
Masters of Albion does not have a release date yet.
