Patrick De Paula appreciates Botafogo’s “wonderful year” and the development in its structure: “Today everyone looks at the club differently”

– Botafogo has changed, yes. They do long-term work, invest, and do new things, so players have more possibilities to work. The club thinks more about the players. Today everyone looks at Botafogo differently, and the players make things happen on the pitch. “It’s very good structurally,” Patrick said.

The midfielder appreciated Botafogo’s season, despite losing the league title Brazilian Championship.

– I’m not saying things went wrong, because Botafogo had a great year. We have to appreciate this. Unfortunately, the title did not come, but that is part of football. anything could happen. But it didn’t go wrong, it worked because the work we did is very good and we appreciate it. “Now it’s time to forget (what happened) and focus on next year,” he said.

We are not playing alone, we have good opponents. We had a very good year. After recovering from a serious injury to his left knee, Patrick expects a better season for himself as well.

– First I want to recover well, get back to playing, and get confidence, so I can help Botafogo, because the club and the group helped me a lot in this time of injury. It spoke to me a lot. “You can expect good things, and I will be back playing and feeling happy on the field,” he warned.

– Today I want to play again. It was a very serious injury, and I never imagined I would have to go through this. But I have a big dream of playing for big teams, like Botafogo, participating in the national team, and playing in the World Cup. He concluded his speech by saying: I will work to achieve this.
