Next Thursday, the 26th, at 8 pm, the Sergipe Symphony Orchestra (Orsse) will perform a concert entitled “Uma Noite em Paris”, a musical experience dedicated to the richness of the French musical repertoire, focusing on the contributions of famous composers from the country.
Guest conductor, Daniel Neri, will lead the delivery. The carefully designed program includes a selection of works that explore France’s musical diversity, from Claude Debussy’s meditative “Clair de Lune,” orchestrated by André Cablet, to Gabriel Fauré’s elegant “Pavane.”
The concert also highlights the talent of soloist Juan Manuel Quinteros Estrada, principal of Orsse, who will provide an excellent interpretation of Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Morceau de Concert.”
Tickets can be purchased at reasonable prices at the Tobias Barreto Theater box office. Orsse is an organization affiliated with the Government of Sergipe, through the Aperipê Foundation for Culture and Arts (Funcap).
A prominent part of the concert will be devoted to Charles Gounod, whose “Symphony No. 1 in D major” embodies the emotional characteristics and virtuosity typical of French Romanticism.
Conductor Daniel Neri commented that the concert is a tribute to the beauty, delicacy and complexity of French music. “Just like a Parisian night, each work invites us to wander through the bustling streets of Paris, where the melodies and stories of French composers come alive. A Night in Paris promises to be an outstanding event for classical music lovers, offering a unique opportunity to experience French melodies and stories.
