Hey Nubank He made a big announcement that could change the way people manage their money. The fintech company revealed that it is now possible for users to add balance to their accounts using Credit card limit. This functionality represents a significant advancement, especially for those looking for more flexibility in their financial operations.
Understand the new functionality
The new option offered by Nubank allows customers to use their credit card limit to add money to their current accounts. This initiative, which is being gradually rolled out to users, is especially useful for those who need money in their accounts, but prefer to pay the amount in instalments.
With this function, it is possible to pay the amount in up to 12 installments on your credit card, with an interest of 8.5% per month. For those who choose to pay the installments in advance, Nubank offers interest discounts.
A practical alternative to traditional loans
Livia Chanis, CEO of Nubank in Brazil, stressed the importance of this new feature as an alternative for users who cannot access traditional loans or who need a larger amount than that offered by a standard fintech loan.
“The goal is to provide greater security to our customers in times of account balance shortages and in institutions that do not accept credit payments, providing another alternative and expanding financial possibilities,” explained Livia Shanis.
During initial testing, Nubank noticed that many customers were choosing this new method instead of setting up Pix via credit.
This is due to the fact that, with the new method, interest and taxes are applied to the amount transferred to the account, unlike what happens with every PEX transaction carried out using a credit card.
How to use the new service
For those wishing to add balance to their account through Credit cardThe process is simple. Simply access the credit card area of the Nubank app and choose the option “Pass everything on credit,” followed by “Add balance to account.” After that, simply specify the value and required number of installments and confirm the operation.
