Carlos Tevez is ready to start his career as a coach. According to the newspaper “Ole”, the former striker agreed to Rosario Central’s proposal and will coach the Argentine First Division team. The contract will be for three years.
Tevez, 38, announced his retirement in early June, but he has not played professionally since May 31 last year. Once his departure was confirmed, he stated that his goal is to work as a coach.

At Rosario Central, Tevez will form a coaching staff with his siblings. In addition to these, Chapa Retegui, the former coach of the Argentine national hockey team, will be the main assistant of the former striker.
The agreement between Tevez and Rosario Central was swift. On Wednesday, coach Leandro Somoza resigned. Soon the council reached out to Tevez, held a meeting and made the proposal. On Thursday, there was a positive response.
Expectations indicate that Tevez will begin work at the beginning of next week. He is expected to make his coaching debut on June 24, against FC Jimnasia and Esgrima, in the Argentina Championship.
