Health Minister Marcelo Quiroga said that the COVID-19 vaccination of nearly 78 million people in priority groups must be completed by September. In previous administration of the file, the estimate was that vaccination would occur through May. On Wednesday, Brazil recorded 3,472 additional deaths due to Covid-19 and 79,719 new cases of the disease within 24 hours, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Konas). It is not safe to travel to Brazil, nor to 80% of the world’s countries, according to the US State Department. US officials see an “unprecedented risk to travelers” during the new Coronavirus pandemic. In an effort to contribute to fighting the epidemic in Latin America, Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, on Wednesday promised to distribute 7.5 million vaccines against COVID-19 in the region.
