Last Friday (16), Ubisoft shared a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws with a focus on gameplay and PC resources. Just like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, the game should have many customization options.
The most notable features of PC resources are specifically Ray Tracing and NVIDIA technologies. The game will feature global illumination technologies in Ray Tracing, as well as reflections and dynamic lighting with Ray Tracing and all this with Ray Reconstruction in DLSS 3.5.
All of these options can be enabled or disabled depending on your preferences and hardware level, but it’s also possible to get help from DLSS Supersolution and DLSS technologies. Frame generation.
Unfortunately, for those who don’t own an NVIDIA RTX 40, the build doesn’t come with AMD FSR 3.1 for framerate generation, but it’s possible the technology will be added unofficially through mods soon.
The video also highlights the fact that the game has been optimized specifically for 14th Gen Intel Core processors.
In terms of graphics technology, Star Wars Outlaws seems to be a natural evolution of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, with many of the techniques and even PC specs being similar.
Star Wars Outlaws supports different screen aspects.
What wasn’t known was whether the game would be locked to the ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio to give the game a more cinematic feel.
However, the trailer confirms that the option to play in the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio is also there if you prefer to make the most of the screen real estate.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and is also available to play on NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
