New Order’s concert scheduled for Thursday evening (22) in Cardiff Bay, Wales, was cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather.
“Unfortunately, due to severe weather, including strong winds, tonight’s New Order show has been cancelled for health and safety reasons,” a statement from the event’s organizers said.
The performance will open for The Charlatans and will mark the band’s return to the UK after three engagements in New York last month.
In fact, the iconic 80s group has performed several times. This year there have been just seven shows: one in London and one in New York in March; two dates in Australia in April; and three shows last month in the United States.
There are rumors that New Order will play in Brazil later this year. Earlier this month, Anselmo Joyce, a columnist for globeHe said the band will be at the second edition of Arena Jockey, a festival scheduled to take place at the Jockey Club in Rio de Janeiro, between November and December. However, there is no confirmation from the organizers about this international attraction.
The only show that appears on Official New Order Timeline This year, it falls on August 24 at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester, England.
