Netizens pointed out a loophole – a term that refers to inconsistencies in the plot – in the arrest of Tiao Galinha (Irander Santos) in Renascer. In chapter (22) of this Monday, some profiles on social media again pointed out errors in the performance of Delegate Norcia (Edmilson Barros) in the Globo soap opera at nine.
The police took Joaninha’s husband (Alice Carvalho) just because he was holding the hand of José Inocencio (Marcos Palmeira). The authorities did not believe that the farmer had given the little devil to the landless worker.
To make matters worse, the character of Irander Santos is also named as the prime suspect – again without evidence – in the attack on Egidio (Vladimir Brichta).
“Guys, how ridiculous. First, the police chief was everywhere except the police station, then someone was arrested without being arrested because of a baseless reference until now. This series is ridiculously bad,” complained a netizen known as JoJo. No X.
“Tiao’s arrest is ridiculous,” Gabi added. “But what was the logic behind Tiao’s arrest Galen?” Fair added. “Tiao’s arrest doesn’t make any sense. They found the little devil in his hut, is he guilty, has he been arrested?”
Despite public complaints, author Bruno Luperi seems to be following the “recipe” of his grandfather Benedito Ruy Barbosa in the original version. Tiao, then played by Osmar Prado, is also unjustly arrested – which will culminate in one of the most powerful scenes in the production.
Luperi and director Gustavo Fernandez have assessed that the plot is no longer suitable for 2024. They are keeping the key and the clue about what the new ending will be for Tião, which has become one of the highlights of the remake.

Renascer was written and created by author Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The first version was broadcast on Globo in 1993. Bruno Luperi is the novelist’s grandson and is responsible for adapting the rural epic that premiered in prime time in January. The new version will be on air until September.
