The pre-season for the NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, is off to a hot start. Star Draymond Green, one of the captains of the team that has revolutionized basketball in the past decade, had struggles with rookie Jordan Poole, the 23-year-old goalkeeper who was a key player in the last title.
According to The Athletic, the two players had a fierce argument during training Wednesday morning in San Francisco (USA). After they were face to face, Green was going to attack Paul. Both have a history of clashes, but the incident would have crossed the boundaries of what is permitted on the board and Green should have been punished internally.

Jordan Paul is negotiating a contract extension with the Warriors and could sign a new deal until October 17, the eve of the regular season opener. If not, it will be a restricted free agent after the 2022-2023 campaign. You can sign any franchise, but the Warriors are entitled to match the bid and stay with the athlete. Draymond has two more years on his contract, the last of which was a player option.
The Warriors are back from Japan after a week of NBA publicity events and two exhibition matches against the Washington Wizards. The team won both games. He will face the Los Angeles Lakers next Sunday, the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday and the Denver Nuggets on the 14th.
The regular season will take place for the first time on the 18th, against the Los Angeles Lakers at Chase Center in San Francisco. On this occasion, the team celebrates with another champion’s banner in the arena and delivers commemorative rings to the players who participated in the victorious campaign in 2021-2022.
