Eder Militao was the new addition to Dorival Junior’s squad at the Brazilian team’s first training session in Los Angeles in preparation for Monday’s first match of the Copa America, against Costa Rica. The Real Madrid defender began training at the University of California Stadium in place of Lucas Peraldo, who started in the friendly matches against England, Spain and the United States.
The activity was only open to the press during the first 15 minutes of the warm-up period. However, Dorival started training with a small space as the starting lineup included Danilo, Militao, Marquinhos and Wendel. Bruno Guimarães, Joao Gomez and Lucas Paqueta; Rafinha, Vinny Junior and Rodrigo.
The goalkeepers at this stage continued to do a specific job under Taffarel. However, the trend is for Alisson to start competing as a starter.
Incidentally, the goalkeeper and Eder Militao are the only ones who have not been among Dorival’s starting players since his start in March. The other nine started matches against the English, Spanish and Americans.
The Brazilian national team is training in Los Angeles, where it will face Costa Rica
There are still two more activities in Los Angeles for the coach to decide which team will start the match with Costa Rica.
Endrick says he does not feel pressured to play for the Brazilian national team
As usual, Dorival tested Indrik during training. The 17-year-old, in turn, should remain an option on the bench, even saying on Friday that “this is not the time to skip steps and everything will be in God and Dorival’s time.”
Savinho, Douglas Luiz, Andreas Pereira and Guilherme Arana were also noticed in the main team during the action.
Brazil will start its first match next Monday in the Copa America against Costa Rica, at 10 pm (Brasilia time), at Sophie Stadium in Inglewood. The team is located in Group Four, which also includes Colombia and Paraguay.
