More than 10,000 Ukrainians have completed military training in England – Land Forces

Around 10,000 Ukrainians are returning to their country after completing basic military training in the UK, multiple sources said on Twitter today.

10 000 Ukrainian soldiers have completed their military training in England and are now returning to Ukraine to fight.

They are the second batch to complete their training in England.

In early June, the United Kingdom offered to train Ukrainian forces. At the time, it was reported that the program was capable of training 10,000 soldiers every 120 days.

The UK-led project is designed to use the proven experience of the British military to train Ukraine’s armed forces to help them rebuild their forces and increase resistance as they continue to defend their country’s sovereignty against invaders.

In 2015 the UK launched Operation Orbital, which trained 22,000 Ukrainians from 2015 until the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The skills taught to Ukrainian troops by British forces during the seven-year program allowed Ukrainian forces to mount a strong defense against a Russian invasion.
