After former Argentine President Alberto Fernández was formally charged by a prosecutor on Wednesday with assaulting former first lady Fabiola Yanez, the politician received support from an unusual place: Javier Milei offered to take care of Dylan, Fernández’s dog who was a public figure during his term in office.
“Alberto, in the same way I offered you when you went to Spain to take care of Dylan, I repeat once again that he will be welcomed so that we can take care of him in the family. From the powers of heaven,” Miley wrote to her predecessor on her X account.
In fact, this family has just expanded. Today, Presidential Spokesperson Manuel Adorne and Presidential Secretary General Karina Milei presented Thor, a Bernese Mountain Dog that will apparently live in Casa Rosada.
“Hello, Thor!” Adorni wrote in an X, alongside a photo of himself and the president’s sister with the mascot at the Government House. In an earlier post, Adorni was vague, writing: “We have a new member of the Casa Rosada team.”
Dylan was more than just a pet during the Fernandez administration, even having an Instagram account, where photos were reproduced in different areas of Casa Rosa.
The account was managed by Cecilia Hermoso, a former employee whom Yanez described as the former president’s mistress.
