On Wednesday afternoon, Necaxa announced the appointment of Angelo Araus. The agreement with the midfielder, which was released by Corinthians in mid-November, was celebrated on the social networks of the Mexican club – see below.
After more than three years at Parque São Jorge, where he did not have much success, Araos was sold to the Mexican club, which bought 50% of the rights to the Chilean player. Values have not been confirmed, but Necaxa’s initial proposal was $1 million (R$5.5 million).
The duration of the contract with the Mexican club was not revealed, but Necaxa confirmed Araus’ participation in the 2022 Clausura Championship of the Liga BBVA MX League. The midfielder is now ready to start the preparatory season with coach Pablo Guedi.
Corinthians believe that through the deal, the Mexican club can maintain the ratio for a longer period of the current contract, because Araus’ contract with Timao was valid until July 2023. The trend is for the Mexican club to extend the contract.
With the club shirt from Parque São Jorge, where he arrived in mid-2018, Araús played only 61 matches and scored a goal, in addition to providing five assists. His last appearance on the field was on September 12, in a 1-1 draw with Atlético-Go in the Brazilian Campionato.
