In a match full of controversial moves and complaints with the referee Flamengo beat Atletico Go 2-1 on Sunday (14). Not even Goiania's mascot escaped punishment in the match summary.
In the official document of the confrontation, referee Andre Luiz Policarpo Pinto wrote in his notes that he was insulted by Dragolino after the end of the duel.
“I remember that after the end of the match, when the referee's team was heading to the locker room, they were approached by the mascot, known as Mr. Paulo Marcos, who said the following words: 'You sons of bitches, thieves, your c*** will take you',” the referee reported.
One of the controversial moves in the match was the expulsion of coach Jair Ventura 13 minutes after the start of the first half. He was shown a yellow card by Eric Pulgar, in a match at Atletico-Go's Defence. Then the referee decided to give the Atletico captain a red card.
But Andre Luiz stated that he and his assistant were insulted by the coach.
“It is reported that following information from Assistant Referee No. 1, Mr. Felipe Allan, I immediately sent off Mr. Jair Ventura, coach of Atlético Clube Goianense, for saying the following words towards the match referee: ‘Give me a card, you son of a bitch.’ And then, to Assistant Referee No. 1: “Go get it by the ass, take it by the ass,” the doc says.
Andre Luiz Policarpo also explained how Alex Vinicius and Maguinho, both Atletico Go players, were sent off.
He wrote: “I remember that I directly sent off Mr. Alex de Souza, the Atletico Goianense player, in the 47th minute of the first half, for preventing a clear scoring opportunity, outside the penalty area.”
“I directly sent off Mr. Magno da Silva, from Atlético Goianense, in the 55th minute of the second half, for dangerous rough play, when he elbowed his opponent in the face, while fighting for the ball. The player who was injured had a mouth bleed due to this action, He was treated and continued the match normally.
On the pitch, de la Cruz and Pedro, playing as Rubro Negro, ensured Flamengo's victory. Luiz Fernando scored for the team from Goiás.
