The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) inspected beverage factories and found irregularities in the production of juices, nectars, vinegar, wine, brandy, cachaça and coconut water. In all, 200,000 liters of beverage were collected.
Among the violations found by the inspection teams were: adding unauthorized sugar cane or exceeding the limits; dilution with excess water; use of dyes to mask the product; Irregular publicity Transportation of drinks in irregular conditions. Three factories were closed
65,000 liters of coconut water were confiscated. 64,000 liters of balsamic vinegar. 64,800 liters of fruit soda; 20,600 kilograms of juice concentrate; 10,156 kilograms between dried juice, solid preparation, extract and various fruit flavors; 4,554 liters of cane spirit; 2689 liters of red wine.
Mapa will take legal action with companies, which may include fines, banning facilities, deregistration of products and organizations, and even criminal action. The agency warns consumers to be aware of products priced very differently from the competition.
Any suspicion of wrongdoing must be reported to the appropriate authorities.
