LATAM acquires 10 new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft

“The Boeing 787 is a more efficient aircraft, allowing us to continue to grow sustainably while reducing our carbon footprint as we drive growth in our operations. This order will allow us to receive at least two aircraft of this model per year, from 2025 until the end of the decade.said Ramiro Alfonsin, CFO of LATAM Airlines Group.

New LATAM Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft

LATAM currently operates 37 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft, and with this latest order expects to increase the fleet to 52 Dreamliner aircraft by 2030. This model allows the airline to increase capacity on popular routes, including its direct flight from Santiago to Sydney And launching new methods.

According to manufacturer data, the 787 provides superior fuel efficiency. This is because it uses 25% less fuel and produces 25% fewer emissions than the aircraft it replaces. These aircraft can carry up to 300 passengers and have the capacity to travel a distance of approximately 14,010 km.
