Internet users have been fascinated by a device supposedly installed by Chinese authorities on the highway, which says that colored laser beams will help prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel.
In a video clip circulated on social media, laser beams can be seen operating on a section of the highway linking the cities of Qingdao in Shandong Province to the city of Yinchuan in Ningxia.

The person responsible for the photos, which have already garnered 67 million views on Leadership.
Although there is no confirmation that the laser will truly be an “anti-sleep” tool, in an attempt to improve road safety, X users are divided over the supposed effectiveness of the Chinese device.
