Verdao flew to Colombia to face Deportivo Pereira in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals. It was the first time the club had flown the plane. But before returning, the security system detected a problem that prevented it from booting.
Because of the problem, the Palmeiras delegation went by bus to Cali, where they were able to get a charter flight back to Brazil. Verdão arrived in the country on Friday (25th) and has already started working for the match against Vasco in the Brazilian League.
In Colombia, Palmeiras defeated Deportivo Pereira 4-0, and qualified for the semi-finals of the Libertadores. The two teams will meet again on Wednesday (30th) at Allianz Parque in the second leg.
