Ke Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor at the 2023 Academy Awards for his performance in Everything, Everywhere at once.
Winner of the statuette for Best Supporting Actor at the 2023 Academy Awards, for his performance in Everything, Everywhere at the same time, Ke Huy Quan thrilled the audience at the Dolby Theatre, in Los Angeles (USA), with his winning speech.
“Thank you, thank you! My mom’s 84 and she’s home watching. Mom, you just won an Oscar,” he started crying a lot.
I started out on a boat, spent a year in a refugee camp and in a way I am here today. This is happening to me. This is the American dream. Thanks to the Academy for this award. Thank you my brother’s mom… I owe everything to the love of my life, my wife, who told me, month after month, for 20 years, that one day my time would come. Dreams are something believable. To all the cast, keep your dreams alive. Thank you for having me. Thank you.”
