Jon Bon Jovi had a moment of heroism when he helped a woman in distress on the edge of a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, on Tuesday evening (10). For his action, the singer received praise from the local Metropolitan Police Department, which shared a video showing the artist and his team on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, helping the woman back to safety. Police Chief John Drake said: “It takes all of us to help keep each other safe.”
According to the department, Bon Jovi spoke to the woman, who remained outside the fence, about Cumberland. The artist and others helped her back to the bridge walkway. Coincidentally, the rocker was recording a music video there. In videos posted to social media, the singer can be seen approaching the woman, leaning on the railing next to her, and with the help of another woman, bringing her back to safety.
Other people then approach and Bon Jovi hugs the woman. Minutes later, police video shows the singer leaving the bridge with her. “Shoutout to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman on the Siegenthaler Pedestrian Bridge [na] Tuesday night. “Bon Jovi helped coax her off the edge of the Cumberland River to safety.”
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
