Controversial UFC commentator Joe Rogan’s access to social network Gettr made the platform conquer more than 1 million new users in less than a week. Prior to that, the network created by former President Donald Trump’s former advisor, Jason Miller, had about 3 million followers. The survey was conducted by the New York Post website.
In his first post, Rogan celebrated his new Gettr account and mocked Twitter, a platform that has been accused of censorship by conservatives who question topics such as mandatory vaccinations and left-wing governments.
Just in case Twitter is stupid, I’m here now too. happiness! Rogan wrote in his first issue.
Rogan Geter’s entry came shortly after Twitter banned right-wing congressman Georgia Marjorie Taylor Green, who tweeted last Sunday: “Too many secret vaccine deaths have been ignored.”
Just last year, Twitter also decided to permanently ban former President Donald Trump. The platform alleged that the Republican broke the rules by allegedly inciting the invasion of the Capitol and spreading false news.
For this reason, Trump announced that he will launch his own social network, TRUTH Social, in February.
