After a turbulent departure from “BBB 23”, being fired for sexually harassing Mexican model Dana Mendez, Gimme took a break from social networking and made few posts, almost none. On Monday evening (10), the singer decided to speak out and released a “Message to the Faithful”. In the text, Guimê tells his fans that he is not feeling well, and talks about depression and anxiety: “They keep attacking me and the people I love.”
The message was posted by Guimê on his Instagram stories. The funk artist says family, friends and fans try to cheer him up, but sometimes he has a “want to disappear”: “I haven’t tried to justify the unjustified, every mistake has its consequences and I’m going through these. I’ve been eliminated, I’ve redeemed myself, and I’m learning from every situation.” And they attack me and the people I love. I’ve already lost a lot with all this. What more do you want?”, Guimê asks in the letter.
Guimê also says that he uses this moment to take care of himself: “I intend to take care of my mind, my heart, and my soul, which is not well, but I think it will be soon!”. In another part of the text, Guimê appears to be providing a quote as he uses quotation marks. He wrote: “Depression and anxiety are not signs of your weakness. They are signs that you have stayed strong for too long.”
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
