Japan and Saudi Arabia are guaranteed for the 2022 World CupWhich will be held from November in Qatar. On Thursday, the Japanese team defeated Australia in Sydney with two clean goals, confirming their classification and still giving the Saudis the possibility of celebrating without entering the stadium.
Kaoru Mitoma, midfielder of the Belgian club Royal Union, who came off the bench in the 39th minute of the second half and scored the two Japanese goals in the 44th and 49th minutes. As a result, the selection reached 21 points against 15 Australians. Since they only have 19 rounds and one round, Saudi Arabia no longer needs to register to include themselves in the ranking pool.

Iran and South Korea, both in Group A, have already secured themselves head-on. The two third-placed teams will face each other in the home and away matches to decide who the fifth-placed team from South America will face. Australia finished third in Group B, at which point they will face the United Arab Emirates.
This will be Japan’s seventh consecutive World Cup appearance since 1998, the year of its debut. Saudi Arabia is contesting for the second time in a row after being knocked out in 2010 and 2014 – it also played in the Cups between 1994 and 2006.
