Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) A new free distance learning course has been made available on its platform.Titled “Introduction to Data Science”.
The course lasts for 45 hours and is aimed at those interested in detecting and extracting patterns. ideas Data, at the intermediate level.
Content covered includes introductions to the Python language, its core libraries and graphics; data science and data processing; and machine learning and supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.
“There are a lot of discussions about machine learning algorithms, but many topics relevant to practical use in databases are not covered,” highlights Professor Marcelo Mattei, the course’s proponent.
The course was proposed by the professor of Computer Networks at Campus Dourados, Marcelo Matei, and originated from his Master’s thesis in Computer Science.
Matti explains that the idea came after noticing the difficulty some students faced in following a set of previous procedures, with the aim of preparing the data for use and applying appropriate algorithms, based on detecting behavioral patterns.
The aim of the course is to demonstrate a practical approach to using data science. There is a lot of discussion about machine learning algorithms (Machine learning), including through the Internet, but many topics relevant to practical use are not covered in the database.
The course is recommended for anyone with prior knowledge of programming logic and object orientation.
In itself IFMS Free Courses Platform Two courses available on Programming Logic with ArduinoFor those who want to know more about the topic.
