The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has won 12 prizes in the National Science Olympiad 2022. The competition, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, aims to awaken and stimulate students’ interest in studying the natural sciences. Public and private schools.
Campo Grande Campus has the most awards, five medals and three honorable mentions, including the gold medal won by student Luís Guilherme Miranda Spengler.
From Campus Coxim there were three prizes, two silver medals won by students Letícia Cavalcante da Costa and Giovanna Fatima de Britto Vieira. A student from the Corumba Campus, Mario Victor de Moura Pacifico, received an Honorable Mention for his participation.
ONC – The National Science Olympiad brings together students from public and private schools, from the sixth grade of primary school to the third grade of high school, in addition to students of the fourth grade of technical education who have not attended higher education. For each grade, specific tests are applied, according to the topics previously seen in the classroom. The competition takes place in two stages, the first being at the school. The second stage is in locations in the country specified in the local coordination of the event.
