IFAC students participate in the exhibition Viver Ciência – IFAC Instituto Federal do Acre

Ifac students and teachers presented works at the Mostra Viver Ciência, which took place at the Ufac Convention Center in Rio Branco, on December 7 and 8, with the theme “Science in the Service of Life.” Ifac has a partnership with the Acre State Government and the Minister of State for Education, Culture and Sports and was invited to participate in the event with a platform in which the projects developed in the institution were presented.

The project “A Debate on Sexuality in Adolescence” was presented at the exhibition by students from Campus Rio Branco and Professor Amanda Badaran. The project covers the physical transitions of adulthood as well as the emotional, psychological and social aspects of sexuality.

The Ifac Campus Itinerant Science Fair project was also presented at the Ifac Pavilion in Viver Ciência, coordinated by teacher Tatiane Loureiro, who accompanied the students from Campus Xapuri. The project aims to promote scientific dissemination with students from Ifac and other schools in the municipalities of Acre, so that young people can realize the importance of science in daily life, emphasizing that many aspects of modern life that make up human life are developed based on scientific/technological knowledge.

In addition to the exhibitions held in the pavilion, Xapuri students presented scientific work developed on campus under the guidance of Professor Tatienne Loureiro.

Ifac’s participation in the Mostra Viver Ciência was supported by the Pro-Rectory of Extension, through the Directorate for Technology Extension and Extension Coordination.

“It is time to appreciate more of the science and technology in our state and our students who impart science to the outside community and awaken future researchers and educators. It was a moment to distribute certificates and letters of commendation to the students and professors who coordinated the projects they were presenting in the Ifac platform, to appreciate and encourage other staff to participate At such an important moment for society and for the development of science,” commented Dean of Extension Fabio Storch.
