On Saturday (02/26) the Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom said via social media that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected an offer from the United States to withdraw from Kiev. The goal would be to prevent him from being killed by the Russian army. The post carries a statement from Zelensky, stating, “You need ammo, not a ride.” The post adds that Ukrainians will be “proud of their president.”

Zelensky also posted a video on his Twitter in which he highlighted “they are not laying down their arms” and said that Russia considers him Enemy Number 1, along with his family. “According to the information we have, the enemy has made me Target Number One and my family Target Number Two. They want to destroy Ukraine politically by destroying the head of state.”
