Holloway “obliterates” Gaethje with a last-second punch and takes the BMF belt at UFC 300

The battle began with less action than expected. Both Gaethje and Holloway looked intimidated by the opposition's firepower and little space was created.

The second round featured an eye poke given by Holloway to Gaethje that caused the fight to be stopped for about a minute in total. Moreover, Max produced a good sequence in the final seconds and thrilled the crowd at T-Mobile Arena.

The third period started slower, but caught fire from the second period onwards. Holloway showed all his boxing skills and managed to land some nice strikes, as well as a second round kick. Gaethje tried to respond in the final stage and the round became more balanced.
