Minecraft, the world of blocks and creativity, is the scene of many adventures, but there is a legend surrounding this divided world: Herobrine, a supposed ghost who inspires curiosity and fear.

The Herobrine saga begins with reports from players who claim to have encountered this strange ghost. For many, the first sight comes through the thick fog as they explore the world of…Maine Craft'.

At first thinking it is a normal creature or another player, the person is surprised to realize that this supposed player has completely white eyes.

The situation becomes even stranger when, in single-player mode, the player sees this mysterious being, without any definition of name, interacting with the environment.

Herobrine watches from a distance and disappears into the mist, leaving inexplicable traces in his wake, such as sand pyramids in the sea and finely carved tunnels in the mountains.

Reports abound, but when players try to share their experiences on forums, censorship prevails.

Threads are deleted within minutes, as if Herobrine's mere presence would trigger a hostile reaction.

In one unique case, a player received a confusing message from a user named Herobrine that simply said “Stop.” After investigation, it was found that the user's profile was a non-existent page.

The plot takes a new chapter when it is discovered, after some players insist, that “Herobrine” is the name used by a player in Sweden also known as Notch. This country is the homeland of Markus Persson, the creator of Minecraft.

When Notch was asked about having an in-game avatar, he responded in an email with something creepy:

“I did, but he's no longer with us.”

Despite Mojang's denial of Herobrine's existence, the legend persists, fueled by updates that vaguely indicate the supposed ghost has been removed.

In the most popular mod, titled “The Herobrine mod,” participants need to build elaborate totems to trigger the ghost's presence.
